49cc Pocket Bikes

What sets a 49cc pocket bike apart from other engine classes is the size of the piston. When moving between different engine classes the main thing that differs is the size of the piston. A 39cc bike has almost no difference between a 49cc bike unless you take the engine apart and look at the piston size.

Comparison to lower engine classes

A 39cc pocket bike can still go faster than a 49cc if you have the right parts. Watercooling is one way to go. If you're talking about stock bikes, the ones that usually cost more money are faster and have more upgraded parts. Like the old adage goes: you get what you pay for.

Comparison of parts from one engine class to the next

A 49cc may have a different exhaust when compared to a 39cc, but other than that, there isn't a huge difference. Also, keep in mind a 49cc pocket bike means the size of the piston is equal to 49mm. This is the same for all pocket bikes.
